...Politely refuse the lemon. Or don't, maybe you happen to like lemons or need it for some sort of baked dish. I personally enjoy a lemon wedge in some soda water on a hot day. Let's also bear in mind that there are people all over the world starving even as you read this. These people may literally be willing to kill for a lemon. I'm not being optimistic with all this talk of lemons just practical.

I'm going to move away from lemon's and talk about something more topical though. Soap boxes. Why on earth would anyone be taken more seriously because they are standing on a soap box? Aside from the fact you appear taller standing on a soap box, it offers no additional advantages when exercising hotly debated points. I know it's only a figure of speech and is probably established by a very distinct and meaningful story. However, that does not make it any less stupid. What is even stupider is the fact that people use the internet as a "soap box" to share their dubiously concocted world views. Why would anyone want to converse about real issues when they could be using the same medium to be inspired by erotic "Gilligan's Island" fan fiction?

Gilligan was a man who was handed a lemon. This lemon came in the form of being shipwrecked on a deserted island. But Gilligan did not create a blog to bitch about this. He took that lemon and made lemonade. Then he humped everyone else on the island. What could be more inspiring then that? Life threw him a curve ball and in turn he got to third base with the Skipper. I'd take that over a debate regarding sales taxes any day.
